At Jazz Guitar at Wildacres guitarists and bassists sharpen their jazz skills in a friendly environment among the beautiful surroundings of the mountains of North Carolina, led by an experienced faculty featuring the renowned Dave Stryker. You’ll leave JGWA inspired.

In the words of previous participants…

“Dave Stryker,  Andy Page and Chip Gulbro were a valuable source for learning whether it was didactic or performance related. Atmosphere was very relax and chill, which made it easy to play with and perform in front of others.” D. B. 2023

“I certainly hope you'll reprise the program next year. It was one of the best weeks ever -- truly nirvana for jazz-guitar nerds! The "melodic minor" session was itself worth the price of admission!” H.G. 2023

“Chip and Courtney were exceptional! Keep doing this camp please.” Survey response, 2023

“I've attended many jazz camps/workshops over the years with some of the most renowned guitarists in the world. Chip Gulbro's Wildacres Jazz Camp featuring Dave Stryker is among the best and most enjoyable. Great teachers, students, food, scenery. It's a total pleasure - highly recommended.” M.R. 2023

“The vibe was one of welcoming jazz guitar lovers of all backgrounds and levels. And Dave Stryker, an amazing jazz musician and a great teacher, did a great job of adapting to a diverse group of attendees. No matter if you were relatively new to jazz or if you'd been playing for a long time, everyone walked away with valuable new things they could use in their playing.” G.V. 2022
